If you’re anything like me, then reaching your daily protein macros can feel like a bit of a chore.
See, I don’t gravitate towards protein-dense foods naturally. If it were up to me, I’d rather reach for a bag of salty, peppery potato chips than a container of Greek yogurt or an egg-white omelette.
But consuming a high percentage of carbs never makes me feel the way I’d like to feel — read: energized and strong.
Don’t get me wrong, though! Carbs serve a purpose, and I maintain a decent amount of carbs in my everyday diet.
The point I’m trying to make is that I can easily eat more carbs than I want to, and I can just as easily neglect my protein intake.
So, in order to hit my protein macros on a daily basis, I’ve been getting creative and trying new ways of getting my protein in everyday.
Eating egg whites with spinach doesn’t work for me. Neither does beef jerky. I could come up with even more examples, but the common ground here is that I don’t enjoy the taste of many popularized high-protein foods.
Either that, or they just bore me too quickly to commit to them. You know what I mean? Hopefully, someone out there does hahah.
So, the other day, I put together a simple yet sweet high protein milkshake recipe!
When I say simple, I really mean simple. It’s easy peasy lemon squeezy and you can count the number of ingredients all on one hand!

A Simple Yet Sweet High Protein Milkshake Recipe ↠
✰ Ingredients ✰
+ 1 scoop (30g) of Quest Nutrition Cinnamon Crunch Protein Powder
+ 1/2 serving (120mL) of Oatly brand oat milk
+ As much water as you’d like
+ A handful of ice cubes
✰ Recipe ✰
- Using your blender of choice, add the 120mL of Oatly to the container. Personally, I’m a big huge fan of the NutriBullet Pro Nutrient Extractor blender in gold. I purchased mine from Bed Bath & Beyond and it seemed to be the best deal in town. I’ll link it here for any of you if you’re interested! - After adding the Oatly, scoop up 30g of the Quest Nutrition Cinnamon Crunch Protein Powder into your container.
- Once the protein powder and oat milk are together in your container, I highly recommend adding your water next instead of ice cubes. The protein powder will stick to the ice cubes in an icky way and it creates a clumpy mess even after blending.
- Finally, plop your ice cubes into the container!
- Blend the four ingredients to your preferred consistency and just like that, you have the #1 best high protein milkshake of all time in your hands!
